Axel the Seedlight

A character designed for my 1 week character sprint at university. We had to combine organic and inanimate objects to create a fun character, following the process of iterations towards a final grayscale design (but I added some coloured versions for fun!). I ended up choosing my design using an outdoor light/lantern and a dandelion as I felt the seeds on his head would allow for some fun scenarios and designs due to their movement. I wanted to push myself with this design and focused mainly on really pushing my shapes and exaggerating movement which I think worked out quite well in the end.
